We decided to release JumpSeat as an OpenSource product because we believe in its power, and think that the best way for other people to experience that, is to lower the most common barrier to entry: price.
With JumpSeat in the Cloud, we will manage everything for you. Plus, you'll always have access to the latest features, and as you grow (in size), your JumpSeat server will grow with you.
If you want to host JumpSeat on your own, our on-premise solution just what you need. This allows you to manage performance, with as many users as you like without impacting cost.
That depends on the plan you've chosen, but in general, if your business is using JumpSeat in the cloud, then it's priced per user per month. On the other hand, if you've chosen to use JumpSeat on-premise, then we charge per CPU. How many CPU's you need is entirely up to you and your IT department, but typically it makes sense to match the CPU usage of your targeted applications. Finally, OpenSource is free.
Free means OpenSource which also means ...free. But it also means that you are taking responsibility for installing, maintaining, customizing, and supporting JumpSeat forever and ever amen. While we're not saying dont call us, we'll call you, we're kind of hoping that if you really love JumpSeat, and want to continue to use it, that when you need support you'll transition over to a paid plan.
The usual – Visa, MasterCard and Amex, and of course cash or cheque. All of our pricing is in good old US dollars.
Nope.
If you are in the cloud, it's handled for you. More users changes the price you pay per user, but it varies inversely, so the more users using JumpSeat, the more the average cost-per-user goes down. Otherwise, both the on-prem and OpenSource versions are unlimited in terms of users (but note that you may need more CPUs as you grow)
We generally don't issue refunds unless we've oversold JumpSeat, and it cant do something that we promised it could do. If you're considering JumpSeat as an option in your organization, contact us to set up a cloud instance that you can trial and see if it is a good fit in your organization. With all of that said, you can cancel any time - but the cancellation won't take effect till the begining of the next month.
Getting started is easy.
JumpSeat comes in two basic flavours: Community and Professional. If you are installing JumpSeat, or just need documentation - visit our wiki page.
